OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Heat recovery storage tank is located between
compressor and fan controlled air condensing unit. Hot gas is
pumped from tank to heat recovery unit and through a mild steel
dimple plate.
Heat is transferred from the plate to water in the tank. Unit
also acts as a condenser to absorb the condensing load in hot
water. This process is often referred to as free hot water because
enough electric energy is saved to pay for the unit. Payback
is achieved in 1.5 to 3 years, depending on compressor run time.
NOTE: Most dairy markets require a backup hot water heater. The
120E has a heating element; therefore, no additional water heater
is required.
